BeeHired (“BeeHired”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an AI-powered job search platform that helps users build resumes, search for jobs, generate cover letters, and connect with headhunters. Our service is operated by BeeHired and accessible at beehired.io.

2. What data we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account data — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Resume content — work experience, education, skills, and any other information you enter into the resume builder.
- Job search preferences — target role, industry, location, salary expectations, and career level.
- Cover letters and documents — any text you generate or save within BeeHired.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, clicks, and session duration.
- Device data — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address.

3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the BeeHired platform and all its features.
- To personalize your job feed and AI-generated content based on your profile.
- To match you with relevant headhunters and recruiters (Pro users only, with your explicit consent).
- To improve our AI models and product features using anonymized, aggregated data.
- To send you transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts, password resets).
- To send you product updates and tips, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Headhunters and recruiters — only when you are a Pro subscriber and have opted into headhunter matching. You can turn this off at any time in your account settings.
- Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting (Supabase, Vercel), payment processing (Stripe), and email delivery. These providers process your data solely on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- AI providers — we send relevant portions of your resume and job descriptions to AI API providers to generate tailored content. This data is not used to train third-party models.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of BeeHired or others.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, billing records for up to 7 years in some jurisdictions).
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

7. International transfers
BeeHired operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. When we transfer data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
BeeHired is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of BeeHired after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
